While out drinking one night, they find a pair of strange gold rings and embark on a magical journey of transformation and mind alteration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sean soon discovers that his ring can control Charlie, changing his mind and his body. All Sean has to do is give the command and Charlie&#8217;s ring will cause him to morph, turning into an obedient copy of any person in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At first they work together, Sean bestowing on Charlie the gift of being able to talk any woman into anything. But when Sean gets jealous and accidentally turns Charlie into a woman, things begin to get truly spicy between the two friends. Now that Sean&#8217;s had a taste of the sexy situations he can create, he&#8217;s hungry for more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Charlie is forced to come along on the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cStacy sucked, man, you\u2019re better off without her,\u201d Sean said, setting another two glasses of beer down on the scarred wooden table and taking a seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charlie raised his head from his hands and grabbed a beer, sloshing some on to the table as he took a gulp. \u201cI loved her. We were gonna have kids and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cShit, that\u2019s the beer talking. I\u2019m gonna be honest, you and Stacy were the worst couple I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d Sean said, before taking a long drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cF\u2019real?\u201d Charlie asked as his head wobbled to the side and he eyed his friend as the room spun around him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah,\u201d Sean said, scratching his stubbled cheek. \u201cShe was constantly nagging you about the pettiest bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The empty bottles on the table clinked as Sean set his glass down. They were each six beers in. Deep enough that Sean\u2019s unfiltered side was out while Charlie continued to oscillate from aggrieved to depressed over his recent breakup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were sitting in the back of their usual haunt, a little dive bar a few blocks from their apartment. Some of the regulars shuffled around the uneven pool table nearby. Howls of laughter occasionally rang out. The place was dark and dirty and dumpy, but the beer was cheap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cShe was a little naggy, huh?\u201d Charlie said, pondering Sean\u2019s words as he drew shapes with his finger through the spilled beer on the table. \u201cAlways tellin\u2019 me to stop burping and say \u2018sorry\u2019 for things she think I done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s what I\u2019m saying, dude,\u201d Sean agreed with him loudly, before sitting back and belching. \u201cYou know she thought I was a dick?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou <em>are<\/em> a dick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah, but it\u2019s rude to say that to someone\u2019s face,\u201d Sean said, emphasizing this with another slug from his beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charlie stared miserably into his beer. He had a face that was just odd enough to be memorable. Eyes a little too wide apart. A lump of a nose. Rosy cheeks. He carried his weight in his face. And his belly and butt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe were together for so long,\u201d Charlie said, sinking back into sorrow. \u201cTwo years and three months.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe best thing you can do is get back out there and find someone new. Just a quick bang is all you need to get your mind off Stacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was easy for Sean to say. Even though he wasn\u2019t very attractive, women seemed to like his macho bravado. Certain kinds of women, anyway. Prematurely balding, Sean had shaved off the rest of his hair and grown a goatee as compensation. In his typical all black sweaters he looked like a cheap magician. Long and spidery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sean continued, looking around the bar: \u201cYou just need the right woman. Someone with low enough self-esteem, or just horny enough to have sex with you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWow, thanks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m just kidding, dude,\u201d Sean said, not at all sounding like he was kidding. \u201cHey, what about Meg?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charlie turned around and waited for the bar to stop spinning. Meg was one of the regulars. A fat redhead whose cackle could be heard clear across the bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat?\u201d Charlie said. \u201cFuck off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCome on. She\u2019ll at least pity fuck you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI don\u2019t want pity. I want Stacy,\u201d Charlie said, wobbling his head back around to face Sean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh my god. You sound pathetic. Look, man, sorry, but we\u2019ve been doing this for three hours. Can we talk about something else?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSure. Sure.\u201d Charlie took another gulp of beer. \u201cWhat do you want to talk about?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDid I tell you I won three hundred bucks yesterday betting on how many times the Lions\u2019 quarterback would get sacked?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cStacy\u2019s favorite animal was the lion,\u201d Charlie said into his beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sean threw up his hands. \u201cAll right, that\u2019s it. I\u2019m going home to light up a bowl. You coming?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They both downed their beer and shuffled drunkenly out of the bar. The cool night air helped sober Charlie up as the two of them headed home. Even at midnight there was still a line to get into Club Phantom at the end of their block. Groups of well-dressed frat boys waited in line while every now and then a group of hot, skinny women went right up to the bouncer, who let them in. Charlie stared at one of the women, a hot blonde who reminded him of Stacy because she looked nothing like Stacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cQuit staring,\u201d Sean said, tugging him along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They cut through the small park, following an uneven brick path. Faint light came from the streetlights around the perimeter, but in the middle of the park, where bushes rose up around the path, it was almost black. Charlie stumbled on a brick and went sprawling onto the ground with an \u2018oomf\u2019. The wind was knocked out of him but he was drunk enough that he\u2019d just gone limp instead of breaking an arm trying to stop himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He lay on the bricks for a second, miserable but feeling like he deserved the dull pain throbbing through him. There was something visible on the ground in front of him. Even though it was pitch black there was a glow. Charlie blinked and focused his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two rings lay on the ground just beneath the bushes. They seemed to give off a golden shine, even though there didn\u2019t seem to be any light source. Charlie reached for them, grabbing them along with a clump of dirt and then Sean pulled him to his feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCome on, dude, you okay?\u201d Sean asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah,\u201d Charlie said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He looked down at the rings in his hand. They were warm and still seemed to glow softly. He slipped them into his pocket and followed Sean back out of the park to their apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They stumbled up the stairs, Sean stomping loudly until Charlie shushed him. \u201cDon\u2019t want to wake up the Shrew.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Shrew was Amy Shrewsberry. A single mother who lived in the apartment below them and was continually complaining to the landlord about the noise they made.
