From the blackness surrounding him, Evan felt a pressure forcing him in one direction. There was no up or down, left or right in this void. A light appeared ahead, growing brighter as Evan’s spirit rushed towards it.
Suddenly, he had lungs again and they were bursting for air. He gasped, arching his back as he filled his lungs with air for the first time since his death. He could feel again. He had a body! The monk had done his job well.
